Part Time Business Courses 

Education is a life long journey. Port Elizabeth College offers further study opportunities in the form of part-time courses to enhance qualifications and keep in touch  with advancing technology and development. The versatility of these qualifications range from short-term skills courses with a duration of twenty hours to long-term qualifications with a duration of up to two years.

Venues where practical courses are conducted are fully equipped with the relevant tools and equipment to be able to carry out the practical tasks. One learner per workstation is recommended for optimal use and functioning. A minimum amount of learners are required for the commencement of these courses, as they are quite expensive to offer to below the recommended quorum.

Who are these courses for?

For learners who have just completed their Level 4 NCV programme and want to further their studies. This enhances their chances of being employed in better paying positions in the industry.

Anyone of the general public wanting to further their studies on a part-time basis, due to work commitments or full time study obligations, can enroll for these courses.

Entry level requirements:

For certificate programmes:

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent, or a National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent, including an achievement rating of at least 3(40-49%) in English Home Language or 4(50-59%) in English First Additional Language.

  • A Curriculum Vitae is required from students over the age of 23 , who have no Senior Certificate or NSC. *Study Duration: Two years Part-Time.

 For Diploma programmes:

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent, or a National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent, including an achievement rating of at least 3(40-49%) in English Home Language or 4(50-59%) in English First Additional Language. The student must have met the minimum requirements for admission to a diploma programme at a higher education institution. A Curriculum Vitae is required from students over the age of 23 years old, who have no Senior Certificate or NSC. The CV must include work-related experience and a SAPS affidavit stating that the prospective student did not obtain a senior certificate or equivalent thereof.

  • *Study Duration: Four years Part-Time
