Youth Month 2025: Empowering Youth for a Changing World
📅 Commemorating Youth Day – 16 June 2025
June is recognised nationally as Youth Month, a time to honour the courage, resilience, and contribution of South Africa’s young people—especially the legacy of the 1976 youth who fought for freedom and equal education. As we mark Youth Day on 16 June 2025, we also reflect on how we can continue to empower today’s youth in a world that is rapidly evolving.
At this critical time in history, the role of TVET Colleges is more vital than ever. The global world of work is being reshaped by technology, climate challenges, and shifting economies.
In response, we embrace this year’s theme:
“Skills for the Changing World – Empowering Youth for Meaningful Economic Participation.”
This theme challenges us all—students, educators, and institutions—to ensure we are not only providing technical skills, but also equipping young people with the mindset, adaptability, and resilience they need to thrive.
🌟 Message to Our Staff
Our educators and support staff are the heart of this transformation. Your continued dedication to innovation, excellence, and mentorship ensures our students are not only workforce-ready, but future-ready.
🌱 Message to Our Students
To all our students: You are the changemakers, innovators, and professionals of tomorrow. The skills you gain today will shape the world you inherit.
We urge you to:
- Take full ownership of your learning journey
- Embrace new technologies and global trends

Let this Youth Month serve as a powerful reminder: Together, we can build a more inclusive, skilled, and empowered future.
