College Participates in “Life After Sport” Information Session

The College was honoured to take part in the Life After Sport Career Information Session, hosted at St George’s Cricket Stadium in Gqeberha on Monday, 4 August 2025.

This important initiative aimed to equip members of senior cricket teams – including the Warriors, the Women’s team, and the EP Cricket Academy – with valuable insight into educational and career pathways available through the College. Special focus was placed on programmes tailored to meet the needs of professional cricketers, helping them prepare for life beyond their sporting careers.

The session also highlighted the role of the TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) sector in supporting athletes, emphasizing the relevance and impact of vocational training in building sustainable futures outside the sporting arena.

The Life After Sport project was spearheaded by Mr Siseko Zokoza, representing the cricketers, in collaboration with Mr Unathi Msutu, representing the College. Their joint efforts ensured that athletes received practical guidance and access to meaningful post-sport opportunities.

The event was attended by several dignitaries and stakeholders, including the MMC for Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture, the CEO, President, and Deputy President of EP Cricket, as well as Campus Managers and College staff. Most importantly, the session engaged cricket players who are currently navigating their professional journeys.

This collaboration marks a significant step toward building long-term partnerships that support the holistic development of athletes. We look forward to the positive outcomes and continued impact of this inspiring initiative.
