YOUTH MONTH 2025

YOUTH MONTH 2025

Reflecting on Youth Month at PE TVET College

As Youth Month draws to a close at PE TVET College, we take a moment to reflect on this time dedicated to celebrating the strength, resilience, and boundless potential of young people — both within our college and across the communities we serve.

This month has been a tribute to our students, learners, and unemployed youth in our surrounding areas. It was a celebration of your dreams, your struggles, and your determination to shape a better future. Whether you’re studying, seeking work, or still finding your path, your journey matters — and your voice is essential.

To our dedicated staff: this month was also a recognition of your unwavering commitment to empowering the youth. Whether you are teaching, mentoring, or working behind the scenes, your contribution plays a vital role in guiding and uplifting the next generation. Thank you for your continued passion, care, and support.

Youth Month reminded us that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow — they are the drivers of change today. Their voices, ideas, and energy are needed now more than ever. It is our collective responsibility to ensure they are heard, nurtured, and empowered.

As we close this chapter, let us carry its energy and momentum forward. At PE TVET College, we remain committed to creating an environment of growth, opportunity, and hope. We encourage our youth to stay focused, stay hopeful, and keep reaching higher — and we encourage our staff to continue being the champions of this vision.

The future is bright, and the potential is limitless. Let’s keep building it together.

Happy Youth Month. Empowered youth, empowered future.

Youth Month 2025: Empowering Youth for a Changing World

📅 Commemorating Youth Day – 16 June 2025

June is recognised nationally as Youth Month, a time to honour the courage, resilience, and contribution of South Africa’s young people—especially the legacy of the 1976 youth who fought for freedom and equal education. As we mark Youth Day on 16 June 2025, we also reflect on how we can continue to empower today’s youth in a world that is rapidly evolving.

At this critical time in history, the role of TVET Colleges is more vital than ever. The global world of work is being reshaped by technology, climate challenges, and shifting economies.

In response, we embrace this year’s theme:

“Skills for the Changing World – Empowering Youth for Meaningful Economic Participation.”

This theme challenges us all—students, educators, and institutions—to ensure we are not only providing technical skills, but also equipping young people with the mindset, adaptability, and resilience they need to thrive.

Message to Our Staff

Our educators and support staff are the heart of this transformation. Your continued dedication to innovation, excellence, and mentorship ensures our students are not only workforce-ready, but future-ready.
