Onesimo Mapapu

Onesimo Mapapu is from Grahamstown and completed her high school career at Walmer High School, Walmer, Port Elizabeth. She is enrolled at Russell Road Campus where she is studying Information Technology Computer Science (ITCS), Level 2.

Onesimo is a PRAISE POET (IMBONGI YOMTHONYAMA).

She started being a praise poet when she was in primary school, grade 4 at CM VELEM Primary School. She participated in a competition in East London and won in her category. She was more motivated as a result, pushing herself to new heights.

Onesimo had always envisioned herself as a well-known and prosperous professional praise poet.

Onesimo expressed the following views:

“I am a Black African child, born with black, beautiful skin of chocolate , and I am inspired by the late DR. BISHOP JESSICA MBANGENI  – MAMU GCINA MHLOPHE & ZOLANI MKHIVA (AMAQHAWE).

I am proud to say “NDINGUMXHOSA ANDINGXENGWANGA”

Studying at the college has helped me realise that there will be more options for me to find employment and that I will have more chances to prepare for the future, meet new friends, accomplish my goals, and have a positive impact on others.

To my fellow classmates, you all have the power to shape the future. Take advantage of every opportunity you get, utilize it wisely, consider the advantages and disadvantages of your actions, and you will rise and shine.”
